Most likely, another group will pick up the series and begin subbing it for another 3 episodes (or less) before they receive a notice as well. Other sub groups like Shinsen-Subs have also recieved such a notice and have dropped the series from their list of ongoing projects as well. Yuurisan Subs has recieved a “cease and desist” notice from FUNimation and has since then dropped the series. (Japanese copyright holders of shows like Katekyo Hitman Reborn! and Nabari no Ou), even though the show hasn’t been licensed in the US yet (apparently FUNimation is working on working out a licensing agreement to gain rights to dub and release the show in the US, but this process will most likely take up to a year to be finalized).


In short, FUNimation has exercised a power-of-attorney agreement to remove fansubbed videos of Katekyo Hitman Reborn! (along with other anime titles) on behalf of d-rights Inc.
